About CAO
The Cambodia Association of Orthodontists (CAO) was established in 2016 by Cambodian orthodontists and international advisors. It is headquartered in Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. CAO is the sole registered association with the Ministry of Interior in Cambodia representing the specialty profession of orthodontics. CAO is the affiliate association of the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) representing Cambodia. CAO is also the youngest association in the ASEAN Region to become an associate member of the Asia Pacific Orthodontic Society (APOS) in 2017 and is striving towards affiliate membership of APOS
The main purpose of the Cambodia Association of Orthodontists (CAO) is to:
- Improve the training, research, and clinical standards of orthodontists providing services to the people of Cambodia.
- Establish and maintain professional ethics, and preserve the rights of the orthodontic specialty.
- Promote international academic and cultural exchanges in orthodontics.
